RSVP: Yo-Yo + Kendama Workshops at CHITAG
Whether you’re brand new to yo-yo or kendama, or you’re looking to take your skills to the next level, our hands-on workshops offer something for everyone. Beginners will get a fun, supportive introduction to the fundamentals—like how to throw, catch, and control your skill toy—while more experienced players will dive into advanced tricks, technique refinement, and creative exploration.
No matter your starting point, you’ll leave with new skills, a deeper understanding of yo-yo or kendama and the inspiration to keep progressing.

HOW TO RSVP
To RSVP, select you preferred time slot, fill out the pop-up form and click the cart at the top to fully check out, like you normally would any other online store — there just won’t be a fee at check out.
RSVP’ING IS NOT NECESSARY — anyone can walk up and join in on a workshop, but the first 10 people to RSVP for a Workshop will receive a complimentary Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest x Duncan Butterfly XT yo-yo.** If the workshop RSVP is closed on this web page, that simply means that the 10 free yo-yos have been reserved. You can still join in on the workshop and fully participate, just bring a yo-yo along with you or shop Duncan Toys and YoYoSam at CHITAG.
** You must RSVP in order to reserve your complimentary yo-yo, and be present at the event to redeem. Only one complimentary yo-yo per person so we can spread the love to others.

WORKSHOP DETAILS
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 8 — pros will be hanging out in the Throw Zone all day, but below are designated times when group workshops will be taking place:
11AM: Workshop (Beginner Yo-Yo + Kendama)
3PM: Workshop (Level Up Kendama with Pro)
4:15PM: Workshop (Beginner Yo-Yo + Kendama)
4:30PM: Workshop (Advanced Yo-Yo Tricks with Pro)
WHERE: Throw Zone (booth 813), located directly across from the stage
WHO: Instructors include:
Duncan Pro Team Members Sean Perez (@SeanPerezzz) and Tylor McCallumore (@tylovortex)
Pro Kendama Players Chris Chunn (@chrischunn4a) and Gucci Moonboots (@guccimoonboots)
HOW: If you RSVP’ed, check in with an Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest team member in our contest area across from the at the Throw Zone.
