FLORIDA STATE KENDAMA CONTEST

The Florida State Kendama Contest features Speed Ladder (Beginner and Open) divisions at select sponsor tables throughout the event, as well as “Expression Session” performances on stage.

WHERE

The contest is hosted at Florida’s largest indoor park, DEZERLAND, located at 5250 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819, and takes place right outside The Pinball Palace attraction near Cinemark.

With more than 800,000 sq. ft. of attractions, Dezerland offers one of the largest Auto Museums in the world, valued at over $200 million,go karting, trampoline park, laser tag, virtual reality, arcade, axe throwing, mini-golf, bowling and more.

There is no admission fee for those looking to hang out, watch and cheer on their favorite kendama players.

Dezerland Park is a 20-35 minute drive from the Orlando International Airport, on the corner of International Drive and Oak Ridge Road. It’s just an 8-minute drive to Universal Studios Florida.

Both parking and admission into Dezerland are FREE, that’s right — free. : ) Park at the Cinemark entrance closest to Bass Pro Shop and head over to The Pinball Palace to catch the Florida State Yo-Yo Contest action.
Dezerland offers a wide variety of food and beverage options, including multiple restaurants and bars as well as food court options:
- Corner Burger: Casual fast food restaurant serving made to order burgers and freshly cut fries.

No outside food or beverages are allowed at Dezerland Park.

Your song should be pre-cut to 90 seconds or set to begin at the start of the song. To help ensure the correct music is played for your routine, please rename the song to:

- Music should be submitted by Wednesday, Dec. 3. Any music submitted after that date may not make it into the playlist for your routine.
- No profanity is allowed.
- If you do not submit a song for one of your divisions, we will have a song ready for you.
